Most projects fail in the implementation, not in the plan.

Faculty places former Senior Executives alongside your leadership team, not instead of it. People who have taken change through an organisation before.

About

Experience, brought in where it matters.

Faculty members are former Senior Executives with 20+ years of leadership experience from listed and large privately held companies across the Nordics and Europe. People who have led and delivered the work they now bring into your situation. What they bring is not the plan. It is the experience of getting it through an organisation.

We leave when the work is done. No 300-page decks. No juniors on the team.

When the situation calls for it, Faculty comes as a small team, assembled for the engagement and working on it together. In other cases it can be an individual, chosen for what the work actually requires. Members are matched to the situation, not assigned from a bench.

This is not an interim or fractional arrangement. Nobody is placed in your organisation and nobody is given a title on your org chart. The leadership team keeps the job, and Faculty makes it easier to do.

Why Faculty

The return is won or lost in the implementation.

Large projects and transformations rarely fail for lack of analysis or a plan. They fail in the sequencing, in the decisions that never get taken, and in the parts of the organisation that quietly do something other than what was agreed.

Faculty members have run the implementation before, carrying the responsibility for the outcome with a board and owners to answer to. They know how decisions are actually made: who holds the real influence, and where interests collide. They also know what goes unsaid, and that it often decides whether a decision lands or stalls.

They know where a change will run aground before it does, and they have the standing to say so to the people who can move it.

Who we work with

Mid-market companies, and the private equity funds and family offices that back them.

Executive teams and owners

  • A transformation or a major project that has stopped moving
  • The first hundred days of a new chief executive
  • A generational handover
  • A leadership team that is thin in one specific area
  • A performance problem where the reasons are not yet clear

Faculty is a way to put someone who has done this before next to the person who has to do it now.

Private equity and family offices

  • A read on leadership capacity and operating conditions before an acquisition
  • The first months under a new ownership structure
  • A carve-out or an integration
  • A portfolio company under pressure where the reasons are not yet clear
  • Preparation for exit

Faculty is a way to apply senior operating experience across a portfolio without building permanent structures.

How we work

No fixed methodology. No standard deliverables.

Faculty works close to ownership and leadership, with direct access and full discretion. Teams are built around four dimensions, so a situation is not read as a question of one discipline alone. We call it POST.

P

People

Leadership, and the organisation's ability to carry it through.

O

Objectives

Direction and priorities.

S

Strategy

The way forward and the decisions that have to be made.

T

Technology

Systems and capabilities that have to carry the execution.

This is how Faculty reads a situation and composes the team. It is not a method anyone is asked to adopt.

Engagements

Diagnose & Direction

2–4 weeks · Fixed fee

Faculty starts with this short diagnostic. Where the situation is already clear, Faculty can be engaged directly.

It gives a clear picture of where the business stands, what needs attention, and what it will take to act on it. The work happens through direct dialogue, not through surveys and document requests.

If something significant surfaces, Faculty can continue, either with focused execution support or with embedded leadership support. If nothing significant surfaces, Faculty says so.

Our story

Faculty grew out of Academy.

Academy is an executive leadership network with more than 250 senior leaders across the Nordic business community. That is where the pattern surfaced: leaders were not short on insight or perspective, but on places where experience could be used.

Faculty is a separate company, with its own mandate, its own membership and its own accountability to clients.
